Welcome

At Ray's Place you will find the French-Canadian genealogy of Raymond James (Ray) Cassidy and the genealogy of some early settlers of New France with noble and royal ancestries. These settlers include Mathieu Amiot, Élisabeth & Mathieu d’Amours, Catherine (de) Baillon, Jacques Guéret dit Dumont, Toussaint Ledran, Jeanne Le Marchand and Julien-Charles Sévigny.

The genealogical database ‘Ancestors’ at Ray's Place utilizes the freeware GeneWeb database program written by Daniel de Rauglaudre in France. You can get more information about GeneWeb and Monsieur de Rauglaudre at this website.

Both Ray's Place and the genealogical database ‘Ancestors’ are works in progress. Some of the things which will be added are biographies of some of the ancestors, links to other genealogical web sites, the descendants of Ozanie-Joseph Nadeau and more. Visit often to see what has been added. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments, something you would like to see added, or any additions or corrections to the database please email Ray.
